Jim studied law at Case Western Reserve University (CWRU) in Cleveland, Ohio. He graduated from Case in January 2000, and passed the February 2001 Ohio Bar Examination. Jim was privileged to earn a license to practice law in Michigan by admission in November 2008.
Jim is approved to practice law in any state court in Ohio and Michigan, as well as the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio, The United States Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Ohio and the United States District Court for the Western District of Michigan. He has appeared before the Courts of Common Pleas in Cuyahoga, Summit, Lake, Geauga, Lorain and Franklin counties, as well as the Municipal Courts in Cleveland, Bedford Heights, Lakewood, Rocky River and Middleburg Heights. Jim has also appeared (and won his case) before the 8th District of the Ohio Court of Appeals. He is an eight year member of the Ohio State Bar Association.
Business Experience Jim has an extensive business background, working for corporations that include Maytag and Magnavox. He recently spent six years administering trusts for KeyBank and another four years in Key’s Mortgage Loan department. He also audited trusts at National City Bank . |

Personal Data: Jim was born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago. He graduated from the University of Illinois at Champaign with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. Jim earned his Master of Arts Degree in Communications from Michigan State University while working full time for the Maytag Company.
Jim is married; wife Cindy hailing from Lansing, Michigan. They have three children, and have lived in the same house in North Olmsted for twenty years.
Jim and Cindy volunteer their time to many worthy causes, including the North Olmsted Band and Orchestra Boosters, The Cleveland Contemporary Youth Orchestra, and the Legal Aid Society of Cleveland. They celebrated their twenty-fifth wedding anniversary in 2006. |
