Most people would agree that if any group of persons are in need of prayer, lawyers and their clients top the list. Many clients come to lawyers when problems in their lives get out of hand. And many attorneys act each day as counselor, advisor, father (or mother) figure, knowledgeable legal scholar and friend to their client. This prayer is from the United Methodist Hymnal. Justinian Prayer |
|
Oh Lord: Open my eyes that I may see the needs of others, Open my ears so that I may hear their cries, Open my heart so that they need not be without succor, Let me not be afraid to defend the weak because of the anger of the strong, Let me not be afraid to defend the poor because of the anger of the rich, Show me where love and hope are needed, And use me to bring them to those places, And so: open my eyes, my ears and my heart so that I may this coming day be able to do some work of peace for thee.
Amen |
